Dear Members and Supporters,
After much deliberation, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are changing our TDFS Kentucky Derby Event to be held on September 5th, to a NON-EVENT fundraiser. Even with COVID 19 we still need your help in supporting scholarships for great and deserving high school seniors in TUSD. We are asking for your participation in our Derby NON-EVENT fundraiser. Please check out the link to help support our scholarship efforts.

We're not "horsing around" Tustin Dollars for Scholars requests the ABSENCE of your company at our NON-EVENT Kentucky Derby FUNDRAISER!

This event will never take place and you don't have to go anywhere and/or do anything.

Stay home, grab a "mint julep", "pick your pony", and "saddle up" on the couch as you join us for the "running of the roses" at the 2020 Kentucky Derby.

Due to COVID, our "nag" in post-position 19, you will not have to "gallop" to the betting window to pay fees for:

NO Raffle Tickets $25       NO Babysitter $40
NO New Hat $50         NO Bow Tie $25

NO Traditional "Southern" meal $50

So in lieu of these cost savings this year in attending our LIVE Kentucky Derby event, we ask that you make a donation to TDFS for what you would normally spend at this (or any other) fundraiser. You will be doing our recipients a BIG SERVICE!

All proceeds from this event will go directly to the TDFS Scholarship Program ~ granting graduating high school seniors in the TUSD with $6,000 Scholarships.

Thank YOU for your Support!

"Because College Doesn't Happen by Chance"

Tustin Dollars for Scholars (TDFS) encourages students to pursue their education beyond high school by making available four-year, college scholarships to graduating seniors in the Tustin Unified School District.

This tax-exempt nonprofit scholarship organization is 100% volunteer-operated.  Dedicated to expanding access to higher education, TDFS members and scholarship recipients seek out community support and involvement through a variety of activities, including selling hot dogs, brats and hamburgers throughout Tustin's summer series of 'Concerts in the Park', and sponsoring the annual Tustin Dollars for Scholars Kentucky Derby in May.

TDFS is proud to be one of 1,100 chapter affiliates of Scholarship America, a nationally recognized non-profit organization dedicated to mobilizing support for students getting into and graduating from college.

Quality education is the key to coping and competing in an increasingly complex world. Rising costs are closing doors to higher education. Through TDFS, everyone living within the Tustin Unified School District has the opportunity to make a strong, collective statement about the importance of education beyond high school.

Tustin Dollars for Scholars 2021 College Scholarship application process will open on March 2021.
